The investigations of the Italian public prosecutor's Office shows that apparently several games of the Football Championship that went to an end had been manipulated. Some of the players arrested in the wake of the investigations have confirmed this.
The investigations cast a dark shadow over the Championship, the Football Association FIGC demanded documents from the investigating public prosecutors to take action against the suspected players.
Also, the team doctor was heard from Ancona Calcio, Marco Pirani. The doctor is suspected, the former goalkeeper of third Division Cremonese Calcio, Marco Paoloni, to have sold sleeping pill, which the player last November before the Cremonese-Paganese in drinks of his team-mates had poured to weaken his team and to take the game to the opponent.
As a result several players had felt unwell, a kicker had caused even an accident. He led investigations in the way. Pirani assured that he had not known what to do with the sleeping Paoloni.
In the next few days to more arrested players, including the former attacker of the national team and of Lazio Rome, Giuseppe Signori, will be interviewed.
