Cairo (SID) - defending champions Egypt is powerful on Sunday in a qualifier for the soccer championship of Africa under pressure. The Pharaohs need a victory against the last year's World Cup hosts South Africa in Cairo, in the final round 2012 in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea to keep still open participation.
However, "Bafana Bafana" lead in the preliminary round group G with seven points and would even almost solve the ticket for the African Cup of Nations for a win. Egypt is only a point picked and has already lost the first leg in South Africa 1-0. Only the top of the 11 preliminary round groups are in the final round, to three group two and the two hosts.
