The designated newly promoted FC Augsburg has undertaken the first new signing for the upcoming season. The midfielder Akaki Gogia switches the VfL Wolfsburg to the FCA.


Augsburg (SID) - the designated Bundesliga-promoted FC Augsburg has undertaken the first new signing for the upcoming season. The 19-year-old midfielder Akaki Gogia switches the VfL Wolfsburg to the FCA. The offensive player of the a-youth of the "Wolves" had most recently extended his contract in Wolfsburg until 2015, is on loan but now for two years until 30 June 2013 at the FCA. Gogia is a member of the squad of the German U19 national team.


Manager Jos Luhukay praises Gogia as "very talented young player, which is flexible in terms of offensive". According to Manager Andreas Rettig beoachtet of FCA the 19 years: "We are convinced that he can develop in our environment."


In the meantime, Andrew Sinkala (31) has extended his contract expiring at the end of the season. The defensive player played so far 60 second division games for the FCA since 2008, remains another year until 30 June 2012 in Augsburg.


On the next Monday (16.5), the official promotion ceremony takes place at the invitation of the city of Augsburg. Mayor Kurt Gribl is received on the team in the Golden Hall of the Town Hall.
