Bremen (SID) - the former international of Torsten Frings made his 400 appearance on Friday in a game against VfL Wolfsburg. The 34-year-old midfielder scored in 1997 a total of 48 goals for Werder Bremen, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich since his debut.
Frings is the 63 players who reached the mark of 400 games in the football House of Lords. Of all active Bundesligaspielern, only the Hamburg goalkeeper Frank Rost reveals more. Rost played so far 423 games in the German and thus took 38. place in the eternal "long"-list.
It is led by Karl-Heinz Korbel (Eintracht Frankfurt), which was used from 1972 to 1991 in 602 Bundesliga matches.
