DFL: increase revenues from international marketing

The League continues to boom in overseas. The DFL significantly exceeded their expectations in international marketing and pours out 40 million euros to the clubs.

Frankfurt/Main (SID) - German Football League (DFL) remaining on the foreign market economically more success: The daughter company DFL sports enterprises season significantly higher prices achieved as planned. The contributions to the League and its clubs by almost 15 percent from 35 to 40 million euros could be increased accordingly.

Five years ago the clubs received only around 12 million from the international marketing. "The Bundesliga is also international growth." The professionalism of the DFL sports enterprises in the global marketing pays off. "We are convinced that the League in the summer increasingly this area will benefit from the proceeds", said Christian Seifert DFL CEO.

Last the DFL had concluded comprehensive agreements sports enterprises with Eurosport for the area of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia as well as with the Russian channel NTV-Plus for large parts of the territory of the former Soviet Union.
